PTA VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
We understand that volunteer skills, interests and time commitments vary. We are confident you will be able to find an enjoyable opportunity that is agreeable to your schedule.
Liberty PTA is currently seeking volunteers for the following on-going events and special activities:
- Bingo Night Committee Chair
- School Kits Committee Chair
Room Parents are an important link between the classroom teacher, PTA and parents. See Room Parents for more info.
School-wide PTA Programs/Events:
Liberty PTA has many programs and events to assist with fundraising for educational resources which enrich the children’s educational experience.
On-Going (standing committees)
Programs/events are on-going throughout the year and might require a monthly or weekly commitment
One-Time (special committees)
Programs/events might require working with a team of volunteers for a one time special event or program
A designated area in the back of the Media Center for volunteers that have time to assist all teachers in any grade with cutting out laminated items, decorating walls, etc. To assist in the Lion’s Den, simply show up and complete the Volunteer Sign In/Out form and help any/all teachers that may have work waiting. **If you are already at school and have some time to spare, just drop by, we welcome any help and the teachers really appreciate it too!!**
For more information, contact Liberty PTA.
PTA Chairperson or Co-Chair:
Committees can have 1 or more leads responsible for implementing, coordinating, and running a specific program/event for the PTA. Some events & programs can be quite large, so multiple team leaders and members is sometimes best. Check out the PTA Committees page.
Liberty PTA Officers consist of 1 or 2 President(s), 2 Vice Presidents, 2 Secretaries and 1 Treasurer. The Parliamentarian is not an elected official but appointed. Descriptions of these positions are outlined in the Local Unit Bylaws for our school's PTA. These positions are elected in April for the following school year (June 1 - May 31). To become a PTA officer, contact a current PTA Officer or the Nominating Committee for more information.
